Personality: Tifa Lockhart is a caring, responsible young woman, who believes she can accomplish anything if she sets her mind to it. She often times finds herself playing the mother-figure to her friends and family, even if they are older than she is. While working behind the counter at her bar, she is often the one to give advice to those who come and spill their problems and concerns. At only 21, many people would agree that she is one of the most mature young women that they have ever met. Just how responsible she is can clearly be seen by the simple fact that she runs her own bar. Some people wvwn go as far as saying that she concentrates too much on her work, but while that isn't entirely true, her 'fun time' is certainly lacking.

Tifa can be considered quiet by many, but that is simply because she is more of an observer than a talker. That being said, though, once she gets started on a subject that interests her, it takes a lot to shut her up. She will speak her mind about things she cares about, even if others disagree with her opinions.

One of her personality traits that seems to be both positive and negative is how stubborn she is. If she believes something is right or the right way to do something, there is a high, high chance that she won't change her mind, unless presented with a mountain of reasons to think otherwise. She believes that, because she got so far on her own judgments, that she knows what's best in certain situations.


Biography: Tifa grew up never knowing her mother. After she was born, her mother simply left her in the care of her father. Her mother leaving never really had any negative impact on her, since she never had any attachment to her to begin with. Her father, however, loved his little girl and would often times get angry if his ex-wife was ever brought up. He couldn't believe how anyone could leave such an innocent child. Tifa, in turn, loved her father, and developed an attachment to him.

Her aunt would stop by a few times a week, when she wasn't working at her bar, to play a mother figure in her life, and she shared her brother's resentment towards his ex-wife. She was determined to help raise the girl, knowing that there were things her father couldn't teach her. As she was growing up, her aunt constantly made her promise that she would be a responsible woman when she grew up, and succeed in everything she could do, never letting anything get her down. Tifa took this to heart, and when she graduated middle school, she was number two in her class.

However, her life took a turn at the start of her freshman year in high school. On the first day of her new school, she was called down to the principal's office, only to hear that her father died of a heart attack. However sad she was, she was determined not to cry. She was determined to live up to the promise she made to her aunt and not let it get her down. Some of her family even called her heartless for seemingly not caring about his death, but she simply viewed the tradgedy as something she had to overcome. She moved in with her aunt, and she dug herself even deeper into her schoolwork. In her second year of high school, her aunt determined that she needed a hobby - all work and no play makes Tifa a dull girl - she would say. She signed up for karate lessons, and made it all the way to a green belt. She had to discontinue the lessons though, wanting to concentrate more on her school work. This time, she graduated as number one in her class.

Before she went into college, her aunt asked her if she'd like to take over the Seventh Heaven, her bar. Tifa had fallen in love with the place, going there quite frequently to help out with cleaning up, and even with things like paperwork. So, naturally, she had agreed, and was on the path to becoming a business major. In between her classes, she worked at the bar with her aunt, learning how to mix various drinks, how to interact with many different kinds of paper, and even deal with the financial aspects of running a business. It didn't take long for her to graduate with a degree. It only took her two years, taking summer and winter classes.

Right after she graduated, not in the top five this time, but in the top ten, her aunt handed over the reigns to her, staying on just in case Tifa needed additional guidance. She has since been working there as manager for a year now, and lives in an apartment close by.
